[edit] GeographyNagari is located at 13°20′N 79°35′E / 13.33°N 79.58°E[1]. It has an average elevation of 115 metres (380 feet). The town is surrounded by hills all around with the prominent cliff popularly known as Nagari nose is conspicuous for miles around. Which was used as a light house in olden days in Bay of Bengal. Still every Powrnami day light will be lit in the nose of the hill. The name of the town Nagari originated from the above mentioned hill, "Nag" means Nose and "Giri" means Hill in Telugu. There is a Siva temple which is pretty old and the popular worship place,temple is crowded on Mondays. Perumal Temple is also a very old temple, which is renovated recently & now being maintained by TTD (Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams). The presiding deity is Kariyamanikyaswami with his consorts Bhoo Devi and Sridevi. Another old temple in Nagari is Veerabhadra Swami temple in the intersection of Beri veedhi & main road. Some new temples constructed a few years back are Om Sakthi Temple at the junction of main road & bypass road towards mandapam, two Hanuman Temples near Keelapattu one is The Tirupathi Chennai Buy - Pass It's constructed 1995 by Mr. Munikrishnaiah. He was a great Divotee of Lord Hanuma. The Pilgrim was opened by Mr. Chiranjeevi who is the very mass Actor of Andhra Pradesh. He all so a great Divotee of Hanuma. Another Hanuman Temple is Situated at the Kills of Nagari Mandal. It also a part of Keelapattu Nagari Municipality. This Hanuman Temple is Very old one. Nearby Nagari is Bhugga Agraharam which has a very old Shiva temple on the banks of Kusasthali River. There is a powerful goddess in the village m.agaram named ANKALAPARAMESWARI TEMPLE 16 km from nagari towards the Tamil Nadu. And near by Nagari In 3 km Distance There is village called Terani, and its very famous For ELLAMMA Temple and its very precious and powerful temple.
