Nador transmitter is the main transmission facility for longwave and shortwave of Medi 1 Radio, a privately owned broadcasting company of Morocco. It is situated approximately 18 kilometres south of the city of Nador and a few kilometres south of Selouane at 35°2'29"N and 2°55'7"W.

The longwave transmitter of Nador transmitter, which works on 171 kHz has a transmission power of 2000 kilowatts and therefore one of world's most powerful broadcasting stations.[citation needed] As antenna, a directional antenna consisting of 3 guyed masts, each 380 metres tall, is used. These masts, which may be the second tallest structure in Africa (only the nowadays unused mast used for OMEGA Navigation System in Paynesville, Liberia is taller) and the tallest masts used in a tower array, are arranged in a row, which points approximately to north northwest.[citation needed]
