Nader Pourmand is an Iranian Swedish American scientist, professor, and specialist in the field of Molecular Engineering.
[edit] University of California, Santa Cruz, Baskin School of EngineeringAs of 2008 Pourmand is head of The Biosensors and Bioelectrical Technology Group at the UCSC Baskin School of Engineering. The lab's primary goal is to further develop biological and electrical technologies that aid in the study of genes and proteins.[1] Pourmand and his team hold seventeen patents and publish in dozens of peer-reviewed scientific journals.[2] [edit] Stanford University and Startup AwardWhile at Stanford between 1999 and 2008, Pourmond co-founded and directed the "Stanford startup."
