[edit] History

On December 18, 2007, they released a R&B influenced cover of the Christmas carol, Silent Night. Since then they have self-proclaimed it to be dubbed "Crank That Silent Night", referring to the popular hit "Crank That (Soulja Boy)."

In April 2007 NLT opened (with Chantelle Paige) for The Pussycat Dolls.[1] In 2008, they took part in a 16-date tour, entitled Bandemonium, with Menudo, V Factory and Glowb.[2]

NLT have made appearances in Bratz: The Movie and Jon M. Chu (the director of Step Up 2 The Streets) and Adam G. Sevani's 2nd ACDC video on YouTube.[citation needed]

NLT was set to release their debut album "Not Like Them" during Christmas in 2008 with songs including "Never Shoulda Let You Go", "She Said I Said (Time to Let Go)" (co-written with Timbaland), "Karma" (written and produced by Ryan Tedder), "That Girl" (produced by The Underdogs), "Go", "Rose", and "Move" (all three songs produced by Troy "Treezah" Johnson), Marques Houston offers his talents to the piano-paced acoustics of "Yesterday," and kicks things up a notch with the infectious "Can't Live Without You" and "Sensational".[3][4][5] However a majority of the songs were leaked and the album was pushed back to a late spring/early summer (2008) release date.[6]

On April 30, 2009, Garland announced in a blog posting that the group had split up. Several contributing factors were cited for the breakup including lack of record label support, majority of the songs from their debut album being leaked, and McHale's decision to explore a new career opportunity in acting; he now has a role of a main character on the FOX television hit Glee.

Johnny Wright has also announced that he has put together a new boy group and wanted fans to vote on a group name from: Juliet's Affair, Magic, Western Avenue, One Call, and Gallery, with "One Call" being chosen. The group consists of two former members of the new Menudo—Chris Moy and José Bordonada Collazo, former member of NLT, Justin Thorne, and newcomer Anthony Gamlieli.[7]

Garland is now represented by William Morris Agency and is said to be working on his debut solo album.[8] He has recorded the following songs and has published them on his MySpace over the course of the production of the album, including the following, "A Thousand Goodbyes"[9], "Let Me Know"[10], "Stranger" (produced and co-written by RAS & Davix)[11] and "Stranded" (featuring RAS)[12].

Kevin is currently a member on Fox's new hit series, "Glee." He plays Artie, a high school student in a wheelchair.
