The 1936 NFL Championship Game was the 4th championship game played in the history of the National Football League. The game took place on December 13, 1936, at Polo Grounds in New York, New York, making it the first NFL title game held on a neutral field.^[1] The Eastern Division champions Boston Redskins's owner George Preston Marshall moved the game out of Boston's Fenway Park to New York as he had previous announced plans to move his team the following year to Washington, D. C.. This was the first championship game for both the Redskins and the Western Division champions Green Bay Packers.

1 – From 1966 to 1969, the first four Super Bowls were "World Championship" games played between two independent professional football leagues, AFL and NFL, and when the league merged in 1970 the Super Bowl became the NFL Championship Game. 2 – Dates in the list denote the season, not the calendar year in which the championship game was played. For instance, Super Bowl XLI was played in 2007, but was the championship for the 2006 season.
