Mynämäki (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈmynæˌmæki]) is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Finland Proper region. The municipality has a population of 8,084 (30 June 2009)[2] and covers an area of 536.14 square kilometres (207.00 sq mi) of which 16.38 km2 (6.32 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 15.55 inhabitants per square kilometre (40.3 /sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality has previously also been known as "Virmo" in Swedish documents, but is today referred to as "Mynämäki" also in Swedish.[6]

The municipality of Karjala was consolidated with Mynämäki in 1977. The municipality of Mietoinen was consolidated with Mynämäki in 2007.
