Morris Simmonds (14 January 1855, St. Thomas - 4 September 1925, Hamburg) was a German physician, pathologist, originating from St. Thomas, in the Danish (then) Virgin Islands, in Caribbean Sea. He was the first to describe the clinical and pathological features of hypopituitarism in 1914; the disease has occasionally been called "Simmonds' disease" in his honour. [edit] External links
