Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Mohamedou (born 3 April 1968) is a Mauritanian diplomat and academic, who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation from 2008 until 2009.[1]

Mohamedou was born in Atar and studied in Spain, France, and the United States. He was Director of Research at the International Council on Human Rights Policy, located in Geneva, from 1998 to 2004, then Deputy Director of the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University from 2004 to 2008. He was appointed as Ambassador and Director of Multilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in 2008,[1] and subsequently, on 31 August 2008, he was appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in the government named after the August 2008 coup d'état.[2] He relinquished the position on 11 August 2009.
