Modern Man is the third album by American country music artist Michael Peterson. This album was originally slated for release in 2002 on Monument Records. Although the first two singles (the title track and "Lesson in Goodbye") both charted on Billboard Hot Country Songs in the US, the album was never released in the US due to a restructuring of the label. In 2004, AGR acquired the album and released it in Europe.^[1]

Two of the tracks on this album were recorded by other artists: "No More Looking over My Shoulder" by Travis Tritt on his 1998 album of the same name, and "Right About Now" by Ty Herndon on his 2007 album Right About Now.
