[edit] Collegiate career

Boggs played his collegiate career at the University of Georgia. In 2004, Boggs pitched for the Newport Gulls of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. He appeared in 8 total games, owning a 6-0 record including a 0.91 regular season earned run average and two wins in the playoffs.

[edit] High School

Boggs starred in two sports while attending Dalton High School. He was a standout baseball star and prospect and led the Catamounts as they were one of the most respected programs in all of North Georgia under the direction of Coach Manny Pontonio. Boggs was a brilliant pitcher and also a stellar 3rd basemen who was highly recruited to be a dual-sport college star. Boggs chose to pursue his baseball dreams at the University of Georgia, and is now a member of the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Boggs also starred as a wide receiver for Dalton High's always respected football team. His Senior year, Boggs led the Catamounts to a stellar 13-2 record which included an appearance and a win in the state Semi-finals in the Georgia Dome. Boggs and tailback Torrey Love coupled with wide receiver James Dixon to form an explosive offense and one of the most talented groups in Dalton's long and storied history. The offense was anchored by one of the greatest Dalton High offensive lines of all time, composed of Seniors Adam Thornton at Center, Colby Patterson at Tackle, Mark Raburn at Guard, Juniors Cole Bennett at Tight End, John Hart at Guard, and Sophomore Cameron Mayo at Tackle. Boggs, behind his smash-mouth offensive line, led the Catamounts to Statesboro, Ga for the class AAAA State Championship game. Although the Catamounts came home Ga AAAA State Runner-ups, they will go down forever in Catamount history as one of the greatest Dalton High squads to ever grace historic Harmon Field. Boggs was named as a Team Captain, along with Adam Thornton, Ty Sellers,Jonathan Faith and Torrey Love.

Boggs had an 22 catch 330 yard game for Dalton High School on September 29th 1998
