Mitch Healey at the SFS Mitch Healey (born May 11, 1969) is a former member of the Cronulla Sharks rugby team and current coach.
[edit] DebutHis first start was on Saturday, March 17, 1990 against the Gold Coast Seagulls at Seagulls Stadium . He started his debut with a try to put the visitors in front for the first time in that match. The Sharks went on to win the match quite comfortably 32-2. [edit] CareerMitch played from 1990-2000 scoring a total of 33 tries in 223 games. He kicked 3 field goals one of which booted the sharks to snatch a win from the North Sydney Bears. Healey kicked 139 goals during his time with the sharks. Over his career Healey scored a total of 418 points. In his last game of his career with the sharks Healey scored a try against the Parramatta Eels. He then went on to play in the Superleague with Castleford Tigers. Playing five-eighth and half-back, Healey was one of a new breed of play-makers instrumental in the development of the pin-point high kick to the corner-post and cross-field kick resulting in many tries to his centres and wingers.
