Imperial and Royal Minister of War (German: Kaiserliche und Königliche Kriegsminister) was one of the common ministries shared by the states which made up the Dual Monarchy from its creation in 1867 until the empire's collapse in 1918. In common with the common Ministry of Finance and the Emperor himself, the military was one of the few institutions wholly shared by both constituent parts of the empire, although both Austria and Hungary both possessed their own Defense Ministries charged with the internal administration of the armies of both countries.
