Miles Galin is one of the inventors of the intra ocular eye lenses. He has four children and many grandchildren. One of his famous patients was Patrick Ewing. He currently resides in New York with his wife Glenda.His Grandson is Joey Galin.

Published on: 12/2/2001 Last Visited: 8/30/2002 Dr. Miles Galin, one-time chair of the New York Medical College Department of Ophthalmology, pleaded guilty to submitting claims for services he never performed-including retinal surgery, glaucoma treatments and fluorescein angiograms-between 1987 and 2000. Galin's total take from the bogus claims was approximately $500,000, prosecutors say.

Cleary's office says Galin used other doctors' provider identification numbers to bill for services after his medical license was revoked in 1997. He faces a maximum of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each of the two counts against him.
