Michael Ray Tyson (January 13, 1950 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina), is a former American professional baseball player who played infielder in the Major Leagues from 1972 to 1981. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs. His lifetime average is .241. Tyson has a son named Torre Tyson who is currently the manager for the Charleston RiverDogs, the Yankees Single-A affiliate. He is a hitting coach in St. Louis Missouri and works at Balls n' Strikes.
