Michael Vella (born February 19, 1980) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who currently captains Hull Kingston Rovers of Super League. A New South Wales State of Origin and Australian international representative forward, he previously played in the NRL for the Parramatta Eels club.

In addition to representing Australia internationally, he has played for the Malta Knights as he is of Maltese descent. He reached the 2001 NRL Grand Final with the Parramatta Eels before leaving to join English side Hull KR in the Super League where he was voted Players' Player of the Year in 2007.
