Michael Preetz (born 17 August 1967) is a retired German football player. He played mostly for Hertha BSC and is currently working in Hertha's management.

On 7 June 2009, Preetz was named as the new General Manager of Hertha BSC, replacing former VfB Stuttgart and FC Bayern Munich forward Dieter Hoeneß^[1], he holds a contract that lasts until 30th June 2012^[2].
