Michael Del Zotto (born June 24, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Del Zotto was selected 20th overall by the New York Rangers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.^[1]

Del Zotto was traded from the Oshawa Generals along with teammates John Tavares and Daryl Borden to the London Knights on January 8, 2009, in exchange for three players and six draft picks.^[2]

Del Zotto signed his first professional contract with the Rangers on May 26, 2009.^[3]

Prior to being drafted into the OHL, Del Zotto played minor hockey for the Markham Waxers with teammate Steven Stamkos, and attended St. Andrew's College in Aurora, Ontario.

On October 2, 2009, Del Zotto made his NHL debut against the Pittsburgh Penguins. At age 19, he became the youngest defenseman in Rangers history to play on an opening night.

Del Zotto scored his first NHL goal in the Ranger's 2009-2010 Home opener on October 3, 2009 against Pascal Leclaire of the Ottawa Senators.

Del Zotto was awarded the NHL's Rookie of The Month for October, 2009 after posting 12 points in his first 14 professional games.^[4]
