Michael Burgess is a popular Canadian singer, tenor, and actor. He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, on July 22, 1946. He married to Susan Gilmour on October 8th, 1994.

Burgess is most well-known for his portrayal of Jean Valjean in the Toronto production of Les Misérables

He is also known in Canada for his frequent vocal performances of national anthems, which he sings prior to Toronto Maple Leafs NHL ice hockey games.
