Eccrine glands (or merocrine glands) is composed of (1) an intreaepidermal spiral duct, the "acrosyringium," (2) a straight dermal portion, and (3) a coiled acinar portion in the dermis or hypoderman, and are found at virtually all sites on the human body.[1] They are active in thermoregulation.[2] [edit] References
