Melilla Airport is an airport located 4 km (2.5 mi) southwest^[1] Melilla, Spain (IATA: MLN, ICAO: GEML). The airport is located near the border with Morocco. The airport was opened in 1969.

A Paukn Air BAe 146 crashed into a hill on approach to Melilla in 1998 killing all 38 occupants.^[2]
An Air Nostrum (Iberia) Fokker F50 overran the runway and broke apart on January 17, 2003. Nine people were injured but there were no fatalities.
