[edit] History

The original MeetYourMakers team was most famous for their WarCraft III division, from which MeetYourMakers claimed it to be the highest paid WarCraft III team around the globe[2] along with being the top two teams in the world from November 27, 2005 on[3]. with several sources confirming this and indicated that star player Jang Jae Ho was making $108,000 USD on a yearly basis in salary alone. The impressive records for MeetYourMakers garnered the respect and invitation for G7 Teams, which allowed them to become a member from August 8, 2006 to its dissolution in 2009.

In individual competitions the team was notoriously known for three highly-talented players: Jang Jae Ho who was ranked #3 in international competition, along with being #1 in Korean competition since his first major win in 2003, Jae Wook Noh who was ranked #10 in international competition and #5 in Korean competition throughout history with his first major win dating back to 2005 and Manuel Schenkhuizen, who was rated the #1 top Warcraft III player in the World back in 2006. These were the rankings held upon the bankruptcy of ESNation and the dissolution of MeetYourMakers on March 19, 2009. By the end of the original organization, MeetYourMakers held prize teams for Warcraft III, Counter-Strike, StarCraft and DotA.

On August 19, 2009, it was announced that MeetYourMakers had created a new team of staff and would be returning to the eSports scene with new teams.[4] On September 10, a new Warcraft III team was revealed, followed by a Counter-Strike 1.6 team on September 20 and DotA Allstars team on October 4, respectively.[5][6][7]

While MYM describes the players and teams, myMYM describes the website which focuses on eSports coverage and content for certain games such as Counter-Strike, Warcraft 3 and DotA. The page reached it's peak of unique users in 2008 after Jonas Gebhardt (nickname: The1Crow) was hired fulltime from February 2008 and moved due to that job from his home in Stuttgart, Germany to Copenhagen, Denmark. His job title was International Content Supervisor and after Gebhardt was hired the website started to grow massively as he rebuilt and restrengthen the content part and was known inside the crew as a strong leader with clear visions. One major way to success was sending him to all major eSports event around the world, including a one month stay in China were he filmed together with Marcus 'Wind' Ho a documentary about eSports in China, which was due to unknown reasons never released.
