Mauricio Baldivieso Ferrufino (born 22 July 1996) is a Bolivian footballer who is currently unattached after being withdrawn from Club Aurora. [edit] Club career
The 13-year-old striker is the youngest player in the history of professional football's Premiership debut. Baldivieso was on Sunday evening (local time) replaces in the 81st Minute in the match for Aurora Cochabamba against La Paz FC (0:1). "This is historic," cheered the newspaper "La Prensa" on Monday. After five minutes opponent Henry Alaca brutally fouled him by apparently kicking his right ankle, which ignited a brawl on pitch, whilst Mauricio, who turned 13 the Wednesday after the match, broke into tears, but continued playing after the incident[1]. In July 2009 he played his first match in Aurora's shirt just a few days short of his 13th birthday when he came on as a late substitute in a Clausura fixture against La Paz.[2][3] He was withdrawn from Aurora after his father resigned from the club on July 23, 2009.[4] [edit] PersonalBaldivieso is the son of longtime Bolivian national player and former Aurora coach Julio Cesar Baldivieso[5].
