Maurice Baker (born on July 28, 1979 in Granite City, Illinois) is an American professional basketball player formerly in the National Basketball Association, in the point guard position.
[edit] Basketball careerHaving graduated from Oklahoma State University, Baker spent time in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers (one match) and the Portland Trail Blazers (four), on ten-day contracts in early 2005. He did not manage to score in 19 minutes of action. From 2004 onwards, he played in the NBA Development League for the Dakota Wizards,[1] being named to the 2009 NBDL All-Star Game on February 3, 2009 (the Wizards were previously part of the CBA).
