Matthew Davis (birthday: May 8, 1978) is an American actor. Davis was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and attended the University of Utah. Prior to his discovery, he worked as a pizza delivery boy.

Davis is best known for playing Warner Huntington III, boyfriend of Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) in the smash hit comedy Legally Blonde (2001). His other notable film credits include Blue Crush (2002) (opposite Kate Bosworth and Michelle Rodriguez), Tigerland (2000) and BloodRayne (2005).

On television, he has starred in the hit ABC drama What About Brian (2006-2007) as Adam Hillman. Davis is currently co-starring in the hit CW series The Vampire Diaries, as mysterious history teacher, Alaric Saltzman.
