Matt Gafa, born 31 August 1978 in Canberra, is an Australian rugby league player. Gafa is a Maltese international.

Gafa plays for Harlequins RL in the European Super League. He has previously played for the Canberra Raiders in the NRL and has also played in France.^[1]

Matt Gafa's usual position is as a centre. He can also operate on the wing. In 2007 he has moved into the forwards in the second row, and has also operated at loose-forward. In the past he has also operated in the stand off role.

Gafa is the leading try-scorer in 2008 running in 4 tries in the opening two rounds of the engage Super League.^[2]
