[edit] International Honours

Matt Cook won caps for England while at Bradford Bulls in 2006 against France (sub), and Tonga (sub).[2]

Matt Cook made his England début on the 22 October 2006 against France.

[edit] Early career

Matthew Cook represented England at all levels up to under-19s in rugby union and up to under-18s in rugby league. He represented the England Academy rugby league side where he scored two tries in the record-breaking win over Australia.

[edit] Bradford Bulls

Cook signed from Saracens F.C. (RU) in late 2003.

In 2005, Cook made several appearances off the bench and was expected to cement a first team spot in 2006.

In 2006 Cook started off well and even got the Man of the Match award for his display in the home game against Hull FC in the Challenge Cup. Unfortunately this was his last appearance for over 3 months due to a shoulder injury and Cook didn't make his comeback until the back end of the season were he finished the year with a flourish of games.

In 2007 Cook established a regular bench spot and made his first starting game against Leed Rhinos in the very controversial Millenium Magic match. Unfortunately Cook was ruled out for another 3 months due to an injury to his wrist, but like the year before he managed to come back to finish the season with another string of games off the bench.

In 2008 Cook played four games of the bench during the Easter period bofore going to the Castleford tigers on loan. His loan was short lived when he got called back after just one month and he finished the season strong at Bradford by gaining a regular bench spot and starting four consecutive games.

[edit] Castleford Tigers

Cook was on loan at Castleford Tigers for a month in the 2008 season playing only 3 games.[3]
