Matriarch Records is an urban hip-hop/R&B recording label founded by the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige, and her husband, Kendu Isaacs. The label is currently distributed through Interscope/Geffen Records, and Universal Music Group. Artists under the label include contemporary R&B artist Dave Young, and world pop artist Laneah. The label has recording studio, Matriarch Studios in Los Angeles, California. The artists roster is currently growing as Mary J. Blige is searching for new talent.
