Martyn James Booty (born May 30, 1971 in Kirby Muxloe, Leicestershire) is a former professional footballer who was a coach at Coca-Cola League One side Huddersfield Town until May 5, 2008. He started his career as a trainee at Coventry City, but struggled to break into the first team. After leaving Highfield Road, he moved to Crewe Alexandra, Reading, Southend United and Chesterfield. In 2003, Peter Jackson, who had just been re-appointed as manager of Huddersfield Town, brought Martyn in to help with Huddersfield's revitalisation following 2 relegations in 3 seasons, but he picked up an injury and only managed 4 games during that season. At the end of the season, Jackson appointed Martyn as one of his coaches, a role which he held until the end of the season. At the beginning of the 2008-09 season, he joined Unibond League side Curzon Ashton. After only playing a small number of games Martyn was appointed Curzon's assistant manager after Derek Hall left the club.
