Marsa (or Il-Marsa) is a town in the south of Malta, with a population of 5,389 people (Nov 2005). Marsa is home to the Malta Shipyards. It also houses one of the two power stations which provide most of the electricity to the Maltese Islands is found. The name Marsa means "port".
