Mark Smith plays for the Widnes Vikings in National League One. He has been Captain of the Widnes side since the retirement of Terry O'Connor in 2006.

Smith's position of choice is at hooker. However he can also operate at Loose Forward.

Mark Smith has previously played for the Wigan Warriors in the Super League.
