Mario Been (born December 11, 1963 in Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland) is a football manager from the Netherlands, who was appointed the head coach of Feyenoord Rotterdam on 28th January 2009.

He is nicknamed "Mariodona", after Diego Maradona and his first name.

As a football midfielder himself, Been played for Feyenoord Rotterdam, Pisa Calcio, Roda JC, SC Heerenveen, FC Tirol Innsbruck, and Excelsior Rotterdam. Been played his last competitive match on September 17, 1995 when HFC Haarlem defeated Excelsior Rotterdam (4-0).

Been only played one official international match for the Netherlands, against Austria on 14 November 1984 as substitute for Lokhof in the 73rd minute.

[edit] Coaching Career

On 28 January 2009, the current coach of N.E.C. Nijmegen, will manage Feyenoord next season. He has agreed on a deal until 2012.
