Mario Trevon Austin (born February 26, 1982, in Livingston, Alabama) is an American professional basketball player playing for Lucentum Alicante in Spain. Drafted 36th overall in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls, Mario did not make the roster following training camp and left to play overseas. He began his professional career with CSKA Moscow, but was released after an injury and dispute with the team before playing an official game. He then spent the remainder of the season in the WBA league. In 2004 he signed with Italian team Lauretana Biella and had a decent season. In 2005 he signed with Hapoel Jerusalem B.C., where he played until 2007 and helped bring them the State Cup.

In summer of 2007 he played with the Chicago Bulls summer league team.^[1]

For the 2007/08 season he has signed for Benetton Treviso.^[2]

On July 18, 2008, Beşiktaş Cola Turka officially announced Austin's transfer.^[3]
