Marie-Christine Schmidt (born August 19, 1986 in LaSalle, Quebec) is a female athlete who competes in canoeing. She won a gold medal at the 2007 Pan American Games in the women's K-2 500 metres event, alongside Kia Byers. Schmidt is a gold medallist in the K2 500 metres at the first set of national team trials held this April on Lake Lanier, Georgia, USA. She studied health sciences at Cégep Maisonneuve, and has also competed in provincial level gymnastics. [edit] See also[edit] References
