Marc Anthony Jackson (born January 16, 1975 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American professional basketball player.
[edit] Pro career
After a college career at Temple University, he was drafted in the second round (37th overall) of the 1997 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors; however he did not commence play with them until 2000. Fearing that they would lose out as there was no guarantee he would sign a second contract with them, the Warriors traded Jackson to the Minnesota Timberwolves before the trade deadline in February 2002, where he played for 1½ seasons.
In 2003, he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. They traded him to the New Jersey Nets during the 2005 off season, after a deal to bring in Shareef Abdur-Rahim from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Nets fell through. Before the 2005-06 trade deadline, he was traded by the New Jersey Nets to the New Orleans Hornets. He was named to the 2000-2001 NBA All-Rookie team as a member of the Golden State Warriors. In 2007 he signed with the legendary Greek League team Olympiacos, but he did not fit in the system of the team's new coach Panagiotis Giannakis so he was released. In August, 2008, Jackson was signed by UNICS Kazan of the Russian Super League, but a year later he'd return to Spain with Xacobeo Blue:Sens.
