Coordinates: 36°48′28″N 10°6′4″E / 36.80778°N 10.10111°E Manouba Governorate (Arabic: ولاية منوبة) is one of the twenty-four governorates (provinces) of Tunisia. It is situated in northern Tunisia. It has a population of 336,000 (2004 census), and an area of 1,137 km2. The capital is Manouba. [edit] GeographyThe governorate is located 5.5 kilometres (3.4 mi) from the capital and surrounded by the governorates of Bizerte, Zaghouan, Beja, Tunis, Ariana and Ben Arous. The average temperature is 18.7°C and annual rainfall is 450 millimeters. Administratively, the governorate is divided into eight delegations (mutamadiyat), nine municipalities, eight rural councils and 47 imadas.
