[edit] DevelopmentThe MX-1 is a Fire-Support Vehicle developed by SteelcraftIndustrial& Development Corporation in the Philippines. It's development is derived from the ''Hari-Digma''APC that Steelcraft also designed. It is the second of the four vehicles developed by Steelcraft. [edit] ArmamentBeing a Fire-Support Vehicle, the MX-1 must have adequate firepower,so Steelcraft designed a unique Three-Weapon Turret System and a rear cupola for the MX-1's use. The Three-Weapon Turret System consists of a.50 cal machine gun, a 7.62mm multipurpose MG and a 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher for extra punch. And the rear cupola houses another 7.62mm multi-purpse machinegun for rear firepower coverage.All-in-all the MX-1 has 4 weapons:3 in the Turret and one in the rear cupola. [edit] ArmorThe MX-1 features 12mm of hardened steel plating,4mm thicker than the Philippine Army's ordinary Simba APC.It's armor will deflect 7.62mm rounds at point blank range in any angle and .50 cal rounds in certain angles and positions. [edit] EngineThe MX-1 uses a Cummins 6-cylinder In-Line engine. The engine produces 250hp and gives the MX-1 a maximum speed of 120kph.The Cummins In-Line also provides maximum rigidity and reliability very suitable for Philippine Jungle terrain. [edit] Deployment CapabilityThe MX-1 has 2 side doors and 1 rear door for fast deployment.
