Marvin Dawkins (born October 23, 1980, Battersea, London), better known by his stage name MC Romeo is a British MC/Artist.

He first found fame in the garage group So Solid Crew. He subsequently had a solo career, firstly with the single "Romeo Dunn" which reached #3 in the UK Singles Chart in 2002, and secondly a duet with Christina Milian, "It's All Gravy", which reached #4 in the same chart the same year.^[1] He released his solo album Solid Love in November 2002, and it peaked at #46 in the UK Albums Chart.^[1]

He appeared in the reality show The Games in 2004, following in the footsteps of fellow So Solid Crew member, MC Harvey. He returned to the series to compete in the Champion of Champions contest in 2006. He also featured in a gameshow called Fool Around With... Romeo on Channel 4 in 2005, in which he had to guess which girl out of four was single.

However, Romeo has never been far from controversy. In 2001 at his 21st birthday concert, he and the other members of So Solid Crew were rushed off stage when two audience members were shot at close range. Police later found a 9mm Beretta handgun.

In 2005 he was cleared of attacking a clubber with a knife in a car park in London's Leicester Square. He was found not guilty after the jury failed to reach a verdict. At the trial he told the jury that he had been trying to act as peacemaker. After the trial he admitted that So Solid Crew had been formed to give others in similar hard circumstances a dream, but that they had failed.

Romeo is signed to So Solid mate Lisa Maffia's record label, Maffia Recordz. A second album, announced for release in 2008, has not yet materialised.

Romeo appeared in an episode of 'Don't Tell The Bride' on BBC Three, dated 22/09/2009 as the best man for his brother, Darnell Dawkins.
