Luis Aguayo Muriel (born March 13, 1959 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico) is the former third base coach of the New York Mets baseball team. He is a former major league baseball player. An infielder, Aguayo played with the Philadelphia Phillies from 1980 to 1988. During the 1988 season, Aguayo was traded for pitcher Amalio Carreno to the New York Yankees. As a free agent, Aguayo signed with the Cleveland Indians for the 1989 season. Aguayo performed poorly, and was released by the team. His career batting average is .236.

On June 17, 2008, Aguayo was named the New York Mets third base coach. On October 23, 2008, the New York Mets announced Aguayo would be reassigned within the organization and that Razor Shines would be replacing him as third base coach.

In 2009, he is working as a minor league coordinator for the Mets.[citation needed]
