Lughaya is a hot and dry coastal town on the Guban coast of the northwestern Somaliland region of Somalia.

Lughaya is located about 150 km to the south of the main port of Djibouti. It has a population of around 10,000. It is the biggest town in the Lughaya district. The people of the Lughaya district are mostly nomads and farmers. The whole district has a population of around 75,000 inhabitants, and is principally inhabited by the Issa Somali.
