Lou Angotti (born on January 16, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played for the Chicago Black Hawks, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and St. Louis Blues. He was the first ever captain of the Flyers in the NHL and coached for the Blues and the Penguins. He does periodic work on behalf of the Blackhawk Alumni Association.

[edit] Coaching career

Lou Angotti was the head coach of the St. Louis Blues for the 1973–74 and 1974–75 seasons as well as the Pittsburgh Penguins head coach during the 1983–84 season. He coached the New Brunswick Hawks, Erie Blades, and Baltimore Skipjacks of the AHL for one season each in the early 1980s before coaching the Penguins.
