The Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, also known as Metro LA, is the second-largest metropolitan area in the United States, trailing only the New York Metropolitan Area. It consists of two counties, Los Angeles County and Orange County.[4] The metro is home to almost 13,000,000 people across the two-county area, making it the largest metropolitan area in California, and of the Greater Los Angeles Area.
