Universal Music Group also owns local "Universal" labels in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey.
1 Hollywood Records is owned by Disney, through their subsidiary, Buena Vista Music Group; however, Universal is responsible for US and Canadian distribution, while EMI are now responsible for UK, European, Middle Eastern, South African and Asian distribution.
2 Vagrant Records is 49% owned by Interscope Records. Interscope have a non-controlling interest in the label and therefore have no say in Vagrant's dealings. Interscope distribute all of Vagrant's releases, except for that in the UK and European markets.
