While initially suspecting the father has been having an affair, as the team digs further into his background, they discover nothing is what it seems with this man. His true identity and the reason behind the disappearance is not revealed until they locate his daughter. | December 12, 2002 | 1x10 | ( # 11 ) Maple Street Annie Miller, a young teenage girl disappears near her bus stop on her way to school. Her exclusive friendship with another girl gives the team a lot of information about Annie, but not a lot about where she might be. Twenty-four hours after Annie's disappearance, her best friend, Siobhan Arintero also vanishes, leaving only a collection of videos to help find the two girls. Soon, the team suspects the abductions to be paedophilia -related. | January 9, 2003 | 1x11 | ( # 12 ) Underground Railroad Jack and the team search for a pregnant woman, Kathy Dobson, who disappears from a hospital before being told that she has serious complications with the pregnancy. As the detectives race against time to find Kathy, their investigation gradually reveals that Kathy's seemingly happy life actually hadn't been going very well. She is eight-and-a-half months pregnant and trying to get away from the tight control of her husband, Paul, has withdrawn from her family and friends. Paul's brother, Ritchie, who has been following Kathy and providing Paul with addresses she visits, lists a woman who may be affiliated with an "underground railroad" that helps battered women. Dutton) has been searching for his son since the boy was kidnapped four years earlier on a camping trip and this is the one case that Jack has never been able to forget. Eventually, the team is forced to use untraditional methods to find the truth behind her disappearance. Jack suspects it is a stunt, but Vivian, a Jones fan, can't believe that the charity-loving, straight-arrow fighter would go down that low road. The search goes in a new direction when Dante's younger brother, whom he is always bailing out of trouble, vanishes. Blaming Sydney for his wife's death and his own failure to find a job, Barry kidnaps Sydney for ransom. The team gets involved and when Barry discovers that Sydney's colleague, who has agreed to dropping off the money at the bookstore is wearing a wire, Barry is provoked into taking the store's patrons as hostages. Among them is Samantha, and Jack's history with her complicates the hostage negotiations. The team then turn their attention back to the lone boy who was found on the bus and his mother (guest star, Jayne Brook). Also making guest appearances are Laura Marano as Jack's daughter, Kate Malone, and Vanessa Marano as Jack's daughter, Hanna Malone. | September 25, 2003 | 2x01 | ( # 25 ) Revelations A priest, Father Henry Stevens (guest star, Hector Elizondo), from a poor area of town goes missing after a car accident nearby. He needs to be found quickly because he needs a liver transplant and a donor liver has just become available but it is not viable for long. When a large amount of cash is found in Father Stevens's personal quarters at the church, Jack begins to think that he is involved in some wrongdoing, rather than being the possible victim of a crime. Jared Harris also guest stars as Father Walker, a colleague of Father Stevens. | October 2, 2003 | 2x02 | ( # 26 ) Confidence A recently engaged woman goes missing during her engagement party. As they investigate, the team discovers that her background is full of fraud and scams, which may be the reason for her disappearance. | October 9, 2003 | 2x03 | ( # 27 ) Prodigy When a famous 14-year-old concert violinist, Natasha Tzetcovich (guest star, Elizabeth Rice), a Russian immigrant, disappears on the night of big concert, the team follows her and her valuable violin's train. The team has suspicions about her family, her boyfriend, and an apparently creepy fan. Samantha bravely tries to recover from the gunshot wound she received during the bookstore hostage situation a few weeks earlier. That leads the team to suspect that his family are illegal immigrants and are too afraid to come forward, but the is still able to identify him as a local kid who had been desperately trying to get his hands on some money by exchanging cans and selling some of his belongings. The clues soon lead the team to a corrupt police conspiracy and Jack takes matters into his own hands to save her. | February 5, 2004 | 2x14 | ( # 38 ) Wannabe The team investigates the disappearance of Eric Miller, a middle school student who went missing during a washroom break. He was only away for about ten minutes, so either he or his suspected kidnappers may have known what would happen. The team learns that Eric had low self-esteem and saw himself as part of the loser crowd at school. The team finds out she transported drugs for money so she could care for her son's major health problem. | November 4, 2004 | 3x06 | ( # 54 ) Nickel and Dimed, Part 2 To find a missing young mother who was recruited as a drug mule because she was desperately in need of money for a major health problem her 3-year-old son has, Samantha goes undercover and moves into the apartment of the missing woman so as to lure the drug trafficker into recruiting her. | November 11, 2004 | 3x07 | ( # 55 ) Doppelganger II When a homeless woman disappears from a shelter, the team is forced to re-examine the case of twin brothers, Greg and Rick Knowles. Five months earlier (in the episode, Doppelganger), Greg Knowles had confessed to a series of brutal murders, but the team was always convinced that it was Rick who had actually committed them.
