As of December 24, 2009, there are 2,648 properties and districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places in all 100 North Carolina counties, including 30 National Historic Landmarks, five National Historic Landmark Districts, two National Historic Sites, one National Military Park, one National Memorial and one National Battlefield.
