The following is a list of awards won and nominations of the long running British police procedural television series The Bill. The series has won a variety of awards, including BAFTAs[1], which promotes creativity and rewards excellent to television programmes around the world [2], a Writers' Guild of Great Britain [3] award, especially notable as it is recognition from within the industry,[4] and has seen considerable success at the Inside Soap Awards, at which it has won the "best recurring drama" category six times, four of which, in the four years up to 2009, were consecutive.[5][6]. In more recent years, The Bill has also been nominated for 4 Royal Television Society (RTS) awards. The RTS awards are particularly notable as they are awards that are internationally recognised hallmark for quality and originality [7]. It has also been nominated for several National Television Awards, the National Television Awards are probably the most prominent awards ceremony because the results are decided by the general public and so the award titles are "Most Popular" and not "Best" [edit] Table of awards and nominations | Year | Award | Category | Nominee | Result | | 1991 | British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards | Best Video Cameraman | Roy Easton, Rolie Luker, Adrian J.
