Linda Maria Baros

Linda Maria Baros, born in Bucharest (Romania) on the 6th of August 1981, is a francophone poet, translator and literary critic, who lives in Paris (France).

  • Pupil at the Central School in Bucharest and at the Victor Duruy High school in Paris (France)
  • Student at the Paris-Sorbonne University, Paris IV – Modern Literature
  • Postgraduate student in Comparative Literature at the Paris-Sorbonne University, Paris IV, and at the University of Bucharest
  • Researcher at the Paris-Sorbonne University, Paris IV, where she is a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature
  • Member of the Romanian Writers' Union since 2002
  • Founder and director of the literary review VERSUs/mBucharest 2005
  • Initiator and co-organizer of the Festival Le Printemps des Poètes/Primavara Poetilor (Spring of Poets Festival) in Romania (2005), in the Republic of Moldavia (2006) and in Australia (2007)
  • Assistant Secretary of the Romanian Literature Translators' Association in Paris
  • Cultural Ambassador of Romania during the European Cultural Season (France, 2008)
  • Assistant Secretary of the La Nouvelle Pléiade Association in Paris
