Lil' ½ Dead is a hip hop music artist (born Donald Smith [1] in September 13, 1974) in Long Beach, California. He is the cousin of hip hop artists Nate Dogg, Canidate and Snoop Dogg.[2]

The song "Lil Ghetto Boy" (from Dr. Dre's The Chronic) has a brief reference to Lil' 1/2 Dead, as does "Fuck You" and "Housewife" which are both from Dr. Dre's 2001, as well as "Hennesey N Buddah" from Snoop Dogg's Tha Last Meal.

His performing name is not based on the character Half Dead in the film Penitentiary (1979), but on his older brother Big Half Dead, who is now deceased. [3]
