Lee Hyun-il (born April 17, 1980) is a male badminton player from South Korea.

[edit] The Summer Olympics

Lee played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in men's singles, defeating Stuart Brehaut of Australia in the first round. In the round of 16, Lee was himself defeated by Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand.

In 2008, after defeating top rank players Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei in Korea Open, he participated in the Beijing Olympics again, and managed to reach semi-finals before being defeated by world number 2, Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia, then being beaten by Chen Jin of China to the bronze medal.
