The Laval-sur-le-Lac Île-Bizard Ferry is a seasonal cable ferry near to the city of Montreal in the Canadian province of Quebec. It carries cars, bicycles and pedestrians across the Rivière des Prairies from Laval-sur-le-Lac to the Île Bizard.[1] Technically, the ferry is a reaction ferry, which is propelled by the current of the water. The ferry crosses a distance of 200 metres (660 ft) in 3 minutes, and the ferry boat carries a maximum of 34 passengers and 6 vehicles.[2] [edit] References
