Lars von Engeström (1751 - 1826)

Count Lars von Engeström^[1] (1751–1826) was a Swedish statesman and diplomat. He served as the Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1809 to 1824, and as the Chancellor of Lund University from 1810 to 1824.

1782-87 envoy in Vienna. 1788-92 envoy in Warsaw. 1793-95 envoy in London 1795 ambassador in Vienna

He was elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1810.
